A Tale of Two, Spiced by the One and Only Mishtann Basmati

Here again we come with a tangy and spicy recipe to win you over. Cooked with Mishtann Basmati Rice, relishing this dish is an occasion in itself. Tortillas enclose a spicy mix of chicken and rice, with a layer of grated cheese to add to the sensation.

This Mexican dish is an interesting tale with finger-licking taste and nutrition intermingling with each other. A non-vegetarian dish with chicken as an ingredient, this dish is best cooked with Mishtann Basmati Rice which is a premier quality basmati available in the Indian market today. INGREDIENTS

Rice- 200 gm or 1 cup (as per US RATIO).(rinsed twice and soaked for 20 mins)

Large tortillas- (To wrap)- 4 nos

Chicken stock/hot water- 2 1/2 cups

Chicken-1 cup -boneless medium diced

Onion- 2 nos -chopped

Red capsicum- 1 nos -chopped

Salsa sauce- 1 cup

Red chilly powder- 2 tsp

Red chilly flakes- 1 tsp

Dried mixed herbs- 1 tsp

Cumin powder- 1 tsp

Cheese- 1 cup-shredded or as required

Oil- 2 tbsp

Salt- to taste


PREPARATION

Heat oil in a cooking vessel. Add chopped onions and saute till it turns translucent. Add red capsicum and continue to saute for another 2 mins.

Add some salsa sauce, chilly powder, cumin powder, red chilly flakes and dried mixed herbs.

Add the chicken and saute. Add soaked, drained rice and fry for another 2-3 mins.

Add chicken stock/water and salt to taste. Cover the cooking vessel with a lid. Cook on high heat and than simmer for another 20 mins or till the rice is cooked.

Take a Tortilla, layer a mixture of the chicken and rice, spread some grated cheese and wrap.

You may also add iceberg lettuce or sour curd and then wrap it up.
