A BASMATI RICE DISH RICH IN PROTEINS

Across the globe, there is a wave of health awareness. More and more people are pulling up their socks and joining the gym. However, it is not easy to follow a health regime with discipline and determination. But, for all those who are regular gym goers, here we come with a special dish to nourish your body with proteins. And yes, this one will please your taste-buds as well.


SOYA FRIED RICE

Stir fried rice with the soya and spring onions.

INGREDIENTS

Basmati Rice- 200 gm or 1 cup (as per US RATIO) (rinsed twice and soaked for 20 mins and boiled Al dente)

Soya mini chunks-14 cup boiled and excess water removed.

Spring onions-2-3 nos sliced

Sweet corn -13 cup shelled

Onion-1 medium sized chopped.

Tomato sauce-2 tbsp

Chilly sauce-1 tbsp 

Dark Soya Sauce-2 tsp

Red chilly flakes-1 tsp

Pepper powder-2 tsp

Honey-1 tsp

Garlic-2-3 cloves finely chopped.

Honey-1 tsp

Salt-to taste

Procedure

Heat oil in a cooking vessel or Wok. Add the chopped garlic and fry. Add the chopped onions and cook till translucent.

Add the tomato sauce, chilly sauce and soya sauce, Pepper powder, Red chilly flakes, paprika and honey.

Add the boiled and drained soya nuggets continue to saute. Add the Spring onions and fry till translucent and the sauce coats the soya nuggets.

Now add the rice, salt to taste, sprinkle with some water and stir fry till done.

Garnish with more spring onions and serve hot.
